Environmental refining agent (for aluminum)
Advantages: non combustible, non exothermic, smokeless
Operating temperature: above 700 ℃
Applicable processes: aluminum alloy gravity, low-pressure, sand casting, die-casting casting
Addition ratio: 0.07~0.2%
Product Description: Environmentally friendly refining agent is a high-end room temperature refining agent, which significantly improves the product rejection rate (evidence shows that the rejection rate can be reduced from about 0.73% to about 0.1%), has low aluminum loss, and is environmentally friendly, smoke-free, and toxic.
Technical description
Environmental refining agent is a highly compressed and compact additive. Therefore, there is almost no dust release. This highly compressed particle additive makes it easier to control the dense reaction (discoloration and dissolution) with oxygen.
Application scope:
Environmentally friendly refining agents have good storage performance and a wide range of reaction temperatures. For example, they can be used in low-temperature aluminum melt above 700 ℃. This product can be applied to all aluminum alloys, aluminum forged alloys, and aluminum cast alloys containing small amounts of sodium (up to 15ppm).
Product performance
• Remove oxides from the melt through flotation to reduce hydrogen content
• Forming a mixed state with oxides and adhering to the oxide surface by reducing surface tension
• Prevent the formation of corundum and its by-products
• Forming fine, powdery, low metal content slag
Can be applied in various furnaces and crucible furnaces
Easy removal of adhesive substances
• Very little smoke and odor escape
Dosage instructions
According to the impurity content, add and use around 0.05% to 0.25% by weight as appropriate
Operating instructions
Environmental refining agents can be used in smelting furnaces, insulation furnaces, casting furnaces, and crucible furnaces. When used as a slag cleaning agent, completely immerse the product in the molten solution (during impeller treatment or decanting). Gently use a preheated and coated tool device to stir until the reaction residue is completely formed, and skim it off. For scum treatment, pour environmentally friendly refining agents onto the surface of the scum and stir with tools. After 3 minutes of reaction, skim off the scum. Reuse (once or twice per shift) can effectively prevent the formation of scale on the furnace walls and crucible walls.
During the impeller treatment process, oxides will be generated and the metal content in the slag will correspondingly decrease. Therefore, more metal can be obtained during the casting process (the metal is retained). This additive has a more significant effect when used in the reverse flow of molten metal.
